Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been the target of numerous accusations regarding his literacy. Despite his tremendous fame and achievements, many jabs have been frequently employed to needle him on this sensitive issue. The claims grabbed headlines, especially when rapper 50 Cent appeared on the scene. Blindsiding Mayweahter Jr., he went on a public diatribe that the world champion could hardly understand a letter.

Once upon a time, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and 50 Cent enjoyed a good friendship. But after the former served two months in prison in 2012, a nasty feud reportedly broke out between the two. The rapper claims that the disagreement between them began over financial matters. Subsequently, through two videos now available on YouTube, 50 Cent publicly ridiculed Mayweather Jr. by claiming that the latter couldn’t read.

In the first part of the clip, 50 Cent says, “This is a special challenge for you, Floyd. If you can read one full page of a Harry Potter book n***a, I’ll give $750,000 to whatever charitable organization you want.

Then in the second portion, he mentioned popular television host Jimmy Kimmel. The rapper said, “I got a phone call from my man Jimmy Kimmel. Jimmy said if Floyd accepts the challenge, then he’ll put in on the actual show so [that] you can read it on his show. We don’t wanna put pressure on you; we know you can’t pronounce those words in that Harry Potter book, so we’re gonna let you read Cat In The Hat.

Given such caustic exchanges between once friends, the crowd went ballistic when they chanced upon the two at the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings playoff. No prizes for guessing old rusted arrows would be quivered again to launch a fresh salvo. @TheNBACentral shared a pic early today showing 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather Jr. during the event. Their message read, “50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather are in the same building.

Besides the 1.6 million who have viewed the post, over a thousand retweeted with haste. Let’s have a look at some of the zaniest reactions to the post.
