The boxing world cannot wait any longer for Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford. Undoubtedly, the fans are busy predicting the potential outcome of the clash of these Welterweight titans. While the bout will witness the emergence of the undisputed welterweight champion of the world, boxing enthusiasts and critics are debating upon the potential winner of the fight. In this process, the point guard of the Portland Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard expressed what he felt about the match.

While it was difficult for Lillard to pick a winner, he explained what the fight meant and the possible strategy of Spence Jr. against Crawford. Given the resumes of the fighters, Lillard feels it is anybody’s match. However, he believes Spence Jr. would be a “tough” opponent and bring the fight to ‘Bud’. Here is what the NBA star said.

Speaking about Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford, point guard Damian Lillard admitted he did not know who would win. In his opinion, Crawford vs. Spence Jr. is “a 50-50 fight“. Hence, Lillard declared, “No outcome will surprise me in this fight. I can see either one winning by decision, I can see either one winning by a stoppage.” Although Lillard feels he is usually able to “pick a fighter,” he cannot guess the potential outcome of Spence Jr. vs. Crawford which is scheduled for July 29.

“I’m usually able to pick a fighter. But when it comes to those two, I don’t know. I really feel like this is a 50-50 fight. Like just depends on how it goes that night. Obviously, both of them are at the top of the sport,” added Lillard. However, Lillard expressed what Spence Jr. could possibly do against Crawford in the ring. According to the point guard from Portland Trail Blazers, Spence Jr. would prefer attacking Crawford’s body. In his opinion, a “tough” fighter, Spence Jr. would “bang“. “Spence, he gon’ get to that body, he gon’ bang. He tough, you know he southern. He gon’ bring it, you know it’s gon’ be a fight with him,” concluded the 32-year-old.

While Damian Lillard expects Spence Jr. to be tough against Crawford, ‘Bud’ recently assured that he would go for the knockout and win the contest in a spectacular fashion. In addition, while Spence Jr. claimed his bout with ‘Bud’ would be the ‘fight of the decade’, Crawford stated the sun would shine on him on July 29th.
