Manny Pacquiao was supposed to square off against former UFC champion Conor McGregor in the boxing ring. However, the match did not come to fruition. While the match did not happen, following “a legal dispute with Paradigm Sports“, the 44-year-old was ordered to pay a huge sum of $8 million. After the legal dispute, Manny Pacquiao recently shared an old clip of Kobe Bryant on Instagram.
‘PacMan’ has referred to Kobe Bryant’s understanding of “consistency“. Looks like Pacquiao subscribes to Bryant’s definition of consistency and wants to benefit from the same. Although he retired after the bout against Yordenis Ugas in 2021, Pacquiao has his eyes on growth.

Manny Pacquiao cites Kobe Bryant on “consistency”
After the fight with Yordenis Ugas in 2021, Manny Pacquiao returned to share the ring with YouTuber DK Yoo in an exhibition match. In recent times, there were even talks regarding Pacquiao vs. Conor Benn in the ring. While the bout with Benn did not see light, fans expected Pacquiao to make a comeback against McGregor. Unfortunately, the bout with McGregor remained incomplete too. However, Pacquiao is on the same page as Kobe Bryant when it comes to consistency. Thus, taking to Instagram, in one of his stories, Pacquiao shared a short clip of Bryant on consistency.

According to Kobe Bryant, “Consistency is Monday get better, Tuesday get better, Wednesday get better. And you do that over a period of time. Not like one month or two months.” In simple words, one must devote a significant amount of time to their craft on a regular basis. Practise makes one perfect and practise on a daily basis makes one a master of their crafts. Like Kobe Bryant, Manny Pacquiao achieved his skills through years of labour and practice. Hence, there is no difficulty in understanding why Pacquiao subscribes to Bryant’s conception of consistency.
