New Video Shows Floyd Mayweather Fanboying Over LeBron James After Record-Breaking NBA Achievement

In his last game against the Oklahoma City Thunders, LeBron James became the all-time leading scorer in NBA history. James, who entered the game with 38,352 points scored 38 more to surpass NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who holds 38,387 career points. Among other athletes and celebrities, Floyd Mayweather Jr was in the arena to witness the figure who would religiously write, “The Man In The Arena” on his shoe “every single night from Theodore Roosevelt” before playing. After James scribbled a new record in the league, Mayweather warm-heartedly congratulated him.

A video uploaded by InsideFighting, shows Mayweather smiling and getting up to shake the hands of LeBron James who described the moment as “pretty cool” and could probably count the number of times he “cried in 20 years, either in happiness or in defeat“. Mayweather has frequently attended live NBA games and James, this time around, brought him a special treat. After James unlocked this historic achievement, receiving a chant of ‘MVP’, in an interview with ESPN, he described his feelings.

On being asked about how this milestone now contributed to his ‘GOAT’ status and positively impacted his legacy, James is of the view that if he was the GM he would brand himself as his no.1 pick. “It’s going to happen forever and ever. If I was the GM or whatever the case may be of a franchise I was starting up and I had the No. 1 pick, I would take me,” James told ESPN while boasting.

James reiterated his faith in his abilities. “But that’s just me because I believe in myself, what I bring to the table, a guy that’s been able to transform his game over the course of 20 years, be able to play any position in this league, excel at any position. I can play 1 through 5,” he added by saying.
