WATCH: Floyd Mayweather Shares Wholesome Moment With NBA Hall of Fame Allen Iverson

A decade or two earlier, Floyd Mayweather and Allen Iverson were among the most popular and dominating sports personalities hailing from America. Both Floyd Mayweather and Allen Iverson made their professional debut in the year 1996. While Iverson dominated the NBA in the late and expiring nineties and the early 2000, Floyd Mayweather rose like a fume in professional boxing and maintained his dominance for the following two decades of his life. Iverson appeared for fourteen seasons in the NBA before he hung up his boots in 2011. But Floyd Mayweather continued till 2017, unbeaten throughout his career in pro boxing.

The two widely recognized personalities, Iverson and Mayweather, offered a series of unforgettable memories in their respective sports. At the 2022 National Sports Collectors Convention, the two met each other and shared a wholesome moment.

When Allen Iverson praised Floyd Mayweather at a basketball game following the Money Fight

After Floyd Mayweather defeated Conor McGregor in the 2017 Money Fight to attain his perfect record of 50-o, ‘Money’ took part in a basketball game organized by TMT. Chris Brown, Fabulous, Adrien Broner, and Allen Iverson were among others, who appeared in that game. At one point in the match, just when Mayweather stood close to the bench on which Iverson was sitting, the following is what ‘the Answer’ told May:

“You beat a motherf***er’s a**, and come out here and hoop? God damn! You look like pretty boy, Floyd.” Such a reaction had almost everyone present rolling with an uncontrollable laughter. For real, right after he had a match with one of the best martial artists of recent times, Mayweather showed up for a basketball match. ‘Money’ indeed deserved all the appreciations he was receiving.

Just a year after Iverson made his debut, he won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. He was an eleven-time NBA All-Star and twice he won the All-Star Game MVP Award.
