In the wake of Teofimo Lopez resuming his boxing training, Lopez’s manager and Gervonta Davis‘ trainer entertained the idea of a potential Lopez vs. Davis. While Calvin Ford who trains ‘Tank’ Davis found the idea “wonderful,” David McWater who manages ‘The Takeover’ Lopez declared that his client would certainly be interested in such a big fight. Likewise, McWater publicly stated that Lopez would square off against Davis one day.

As per current circumstances, neither Davis nor Lopez has a scheduled opponent. At this, it is likely that the bout will take place in no time. In this context, as fans hope for a clash between Lopez and Davis, the former recently met the ‘Einstein of Wall Street.’

However, now that he is back, ahead of a comeback fight, Lopez found himself with the ‘Einstein of Wall Street.’

Taking to Instagram, in one of his stories, Lopez shared his brief interaction with Peter Tuchman aka the ‘Einstein of Wall Street.’ Having met the former unified lightweight champion, Tuchman was genuinely happy. And ahead of his rumored bout with Davis, Tuchman said, “The champ. Teofimo Lopez, let’s go. It’s ‘The Takeover’.”

In this connection, following the statements by McWater and Ford, as fans hope for the fight with ‘Tank,’ it is worth mentioning that Lopez had earlier slammed Davis.

In the wake of his victory against Taylor, Lopez said he was fighting everyone from the boxers to the judges who scored his fight. In this context, on being asked about a fight with Davis at a catchweight, ‘The Takeover’ feared that the fight would never come to fruition. Hence, he slammed Gervonta publicly. Out loud, he said, “Gervonta, you are a p***y. You are a b***ch“.
