Anthony Joshua Accepts December 3 Date To Fight Tyson Fury

Years after trash talk and drama, it seems that Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are going to settle the biggest British heavyweight rivalry in the coming December.

Michael Benson of talkSPORT, provided this update on Twitter. As per Joshua’s management company, even though Joshua is all set to clash with Fury, things have got delayed. Meanwhile, below is the latest update from Benson, which states the key reason for this delay and Joshua’s stand.

Albeit, one thing is certain that if the fight happens and Joshua clinches a victory, this will bring his career right on the track yet again. The duo have been exchanging shots for a while now on social media. In the process, the WBC heavyweight champ, offered Joshua a proposal to make this fight happen. He is coming out of retirement and wants to meet AJ at Wembley Stadium. In the proposal, he talked about two fight dates. The proposed dates are November 26, and December 3rd, respectively.

Initially, Joshua turndown the offer saying that he wanted to discuss such matters on the table. What happened behind the curtains no one knows but as of now, reports claim that AJ is going to meet Fury on December 3rd.

Why did Tyson Fury want to meet Joshua instead of Usyk?

Before this fight, the boxing world was speculating about the return of Fury for the undisputed heavyweight title clash. Till then, the rematch of Joshua and Usyk was in line.

Once the verdict of the rematch came, the scenario of the heavyweight division changed. Because Joshua lost his titles. He was expecting a victory over Usyk as he did in the past. On the other hand, after winning the unified heavyweight throne, Usyk, made it clear that he wanted to face Fury.

But Fury’s mindset took a sudden turn. Despite Joshua’s loss, he offered to fight him. Till then, Usyk will have to wait.
