On the 8th of March, a lucrative fight will take its course at the majestic Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In it, two of the most talked-about heavyweights in recent times, Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou, will face one another in a battle of a lifetime. The fight is also making some major noise for providing some of the biggest paychecks fighters will have ever picked up in their careers.

For ‘AJ’, the fight comes at a time when he’s planning to take back the championship belts he lost to Oleksandr Usyk a few years ago. ‘The Predator’, on the other hand, is a novice, with this fight being only his second inside a boxing ring. However, before that, he led an 8-year-long, prolific career with the UFC. Both fighters, with such a top-notch resume, have earned some really big bucks. So how much are they worth now? And who is richer of the two?

34-year-old, AJ comes with a grand career record of 27-3. Ever since his debut in 2013, he’s been under a promotional contract with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing. Their alliance has led to the fighter booking some of the most lucrative matchups of this era. For instance, his two-loss fights against Ukrainian fighter, Usyk in the years 2021-22, got him a fat cheque of about $100 million.

His first Andy Ruiz fight from 2019, which he lost, earned him about $25 million. However, in the same year, for their rematch, which he won, he hit the jackpot by taking home close to $60 million. Last year, from the three fights he undertook, his Riyadh clash against Otto Wallin came to him with a victory and an additional $10 million.

The Londoner, who has a massive following throughout his social media accounts is also said to be earning tens of thousands of dollars per month via endorsements. He has signed with brands like Lucozade, Under Armour, Hugo Boss, Land Rover, and Jaguar. As per records, his net worth as of December last year stands at a whopping $100 million.

How Much Has The Predator Earned?

Francis Ngannou quit Dana White’s UFC with a staggering record of 17-3-0. From that, his most lucrative fight at the UFC 260 in 2021 saw him pick up about $580,000. That year, against Stipe Miocic, he won the UFC Heavyweight title. It is reported that his fight earnings from MMA alone can be traced to $3,779,500 in total. However, what is also true is that ever since he stepped into the boxing world, what he has earned, and what he will earn, will make his UFC earnings look like peanuts in comparison.

In contrast to his entire MMA career, sources suggest that the Cameroonian-French hard hitter will earn much more in his boxing stints. His debut in the fight format against the WBC champion, Tyson Fury, solidified his name in the heavyweight division. That Riyadh fight alone earned him a jaw-dropping $10 million, his highest paycheck ever.

Through it all, it is estimated that his total net worth to date stands at an impressive $15 million (approx). However, now that he plans to be a regular in the boxing scene, he is also projected to earn a lot more and much sooner than he would in the UFC.
