It’s time to get back to work, no more days off!” Then, in a subsequent post, Broner made a bold declaration: “No liquor, No s*x for the next 90-180 days.” These statements mark a stark departure from his previous lifestyle, riddled with addiction to alcohol and gambling.

Broner’s struggles with addiction are well-documented. After his defeat against Manny Pacquiao in 2019, his career seemed to falter, with only two fights over the next few years. His battle with addiction and its impact on his career became a recurring theme. Furthermore, his physical health has also suffered; a hand injury after his comeback fight against Bill Hutchinson is a testament to the challenges he’s faced.

Transitioning from these challenges, Broner’s recent vows suggest a commitment to turning his life around. His decision to abstain from alcohol and s*x, key components of his addiction, indicates a readiness to focus on his health and boxing career.

He has also been going back and forth with Devin Haney and his father Bill.

After Bill dismissed Broner’s challenge to his son by emphasizing the dawn of “the Devin Haney era,” Broner retorted with a provocative reminder of a past altercation. “My little bro pimp slapped yo son and y’all trying to f**k with me @billhaney,” Broner posted on his Instagram Story, reigniting old tensions.

This reference to Erickson Lubin’s alleged slap of Devin Haney adds fuel to the fire, especially as Kevin Cunningham, Lubin’s father, has publicly acknowledged the incident. Broner’s sharp comeback underscores the personal stakes and unresolved grievances between the two camps.
