The former WBO Welterweight champion of the world Kell Brook is back in the gym and training. Brook, who retired in February last year following his victory against Amir Khan, has recently engaged in banter with Conor Benn over Twitter. The account EverythingBoxing in a tweet declared that Brook started training and that there was a possibility of him facing Benn in the ring. Immediately, Benn reacted to the tweet and declared that the last time they approached Brook for a fight, the latter retired from boxing. In addition, Benn referred to a sparring match with Brook.

While Benn argued that it was the sparring that made Brook retire, the latter demanded Benn upload the whole video in public. While the two bantered, the current unified Welterweight champion, Errol Spence Jr. joined in. In a one-liner, Spence Jr. urged that Brook faces and beats Benn in the ring.

Conor Benn disregards BBBoC and gives hope for a potential bout against Kell Brook
In his recent interview with Piers Morgan, Conor Benn declared that the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) won’t stop him from fighting. According to Benn, he need not be licensed by the board in order to fight. At the same time, he announced that he did not intend to fight in Britain soon. “I don’t have to be licensed by the board, that’s my view on it. But, I don’t plan on fighting in Britain anytime soon,” said Benn.
“You know the board isn’t going to stop me from fighting. They can’t stop me from fighting“, Benn added by saying. Following these statements, Benn has now engaged in banter with Brook.
