Devin Haney got dropped three times, wobbled around the ring, and left the Barclays Center with a loss against Ryan Garcia on April 20. However, that was not the end of his miseries. His supposed latest look after getting a beating has sent fans into a frenzy as they mock him.

When Haney, 25, met ‘KingRy’ in the middle of the ring, the challenger’s power and speed took him by surprise and he continued to be on the receiving end of thunderous left hooks that left his face swollen. Some even hypothesized that he had suffered a broken jaw because of the swelling. But that was not the case.

When Harvey Dock held both fighters’ hands before the decision to raise, and the camera zoomed in on the WBC champion, one side of his face had swollen considerably. Later, Garcia turned to his X handle and disclosed that Haney had a broken jaw. But the latter soon refuted the claim.

So, when the visuals of the California native with added mass to his flesh made the rounds on the internet a couple of days after the fight, the fans jumped in. It’s an image of Haney clicking a mirror image inside a store, and the purpose of the visit must have been shopping. What surprised the fans was the 31-1 record holder’s weight, as he looked as if he had added close to 30 pounds after the fight had ended.

Fans troll ‘The Dream’

One fan wrote, “That face swollen.” Someone pointed out Haney’s fashion sense and believed he was sent into the 1990s. They said, “folk got knocked into 1990.”

However, one user clarified that “This pic was before the fight,” where Haney was adding weight to his frame before cutting it down. A comment had wordplay as they declared, “That’s deven husky.” 

A fan hilariously believed that he had aged 10 years in 3 days. They declared, “Bruh aged like 10 years in 3 days.” Similarly, a boxing fan called him “uncle” and announced, “Beat up so bad he made him look like someone 61yr old uncle.”

Someone called him a cruiserweight and penned, “How the hell he looking like a cruiser weight 2 days later? DaFaq he eat a whole bull after the fight?” Haney, in the past, has been accused of being a weight bully. He usually rehydrates close to 160 pounds on fight day. The same case was in his fight against Regis Prograis.

Lastly, a comment reminded fans of Garcia’s failure to make weight, as he came 3 pounds heavier into the fight. But according to him, Haney had outdone him. They expressed, “That boy said Ryan three lbs over ?hold my beer”
