Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder made his return to the squared circle after retiring from boxing for almost a year. ‘The Bronze Bombe’ took some time off after his devastating loss to rival Tyson Fury in the final chapter of their iconic trilogy. However, the former Olympic Bronze medalist came in with a bang, knocking out heavyweight contender Robert Helenius in the opening seconds of the first round.
Since Wilder has shown his interest in fighting for the title once again, talks of an eliminator with Andy Ruiz Jr are in the works. Despite this, he has been very active on social media writing cryptic messages which have already been trolled by fans. Moreover, it looks like Wilder is back with another unpopular opinion after he made some bold claims regarding ‘poor’ people.

Deontay Wilder posts a controversial tweet on social media
In a recent social media post, the former champion had an unusual message for his followers. He claimed that even though there are 24 hours in a day, people have nothing better to complain about than how hard their lives are.
There's 24hours in a day and you telling me there's nothing better you have to do but complain about how hard you got it and how you can't pay your damn bills

Moreover, one fan rightly stated that normal people don’t get paid millions to compete in the ring like Wilder and also took some shots at his recent losses.
Some of us don't get paid millions when we get knocked on our arses.

One fan stated that they aren’t all millionaires like Wilder and had real issues, unlike the former champion.

The fans were certainly not shy to call out Wilder. Moreover, this is not the first time he has posted such a message online with another cryptic text of his drawing some wild reactions a few weeks back.

Despite this, Wilder is still one of the best heavyweight boxers in the world with a chip on his shoulder. In addition, he will be the heavy favorite in a fight against Ruiz Jr, which has now been postponed due to Errol Spence Jr vs Keith Thurman taking place during the same time, as per Michael Benson. However, it is likely we will see ‘The Bronze Bomber’ again in the ring this year, hopefully as a champion as well.
