Boxer Who Condemned Will Smith’s Wife, Jada Pinkett, Hospitalized!

The Cuban boxer, Yordenis Ugas, lost his WBA (Super) welterweight title to Errol Spence Jr. on April 16. Thereafter, Ugas’ girlfriend Dayanara Leon took to Instagram to give an injury update and show her support for the former champ.

Leon posted a series of pictures of Ugas and herself, including a picture of Ugas recovering in the hospital. She mentioned that she is proud of Ugas and that she is a witness to all his hard work and sacrifices.

Moreover, she added that it’s time for Ugas to recover mentally and physically. Additionally, she informed fans that Ugas’ eye is fine. She concluded her message by saying, “Today I love you more than yesterday my Champion.”

Yordenis Ugas’ Injury

The WBC and IBF unification bout between Ugas and Spence was officially announced on February 8, 2022. The bout took place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

During the bout, Ugas suffered a horrific fracture on his right orbital. His right eye began swelling after a punch during the 7th round, and by the 10th round, his eye was completely swollen. The ringside doctor asked the referee to stop the match as Ugas’ right eye was close to being shut.

Ugas took to Instagram to talk about his injury.

He said, “I have a fracture in my eye and in the next few days the doctors will say how they will treat it. Last night I spent all morning in a hospital and I write these words with only one eye, the other one is still closed.”

Moreover, he also thanked his family, team, and friends for their support.

Ugas’ message for Jada Pinkett Smith

Ugas had a special message for Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith after the infamous 2022 Oscars slapping incident.

A few weeks prior to the incident, Ugas had shown his support to the people who suffer from Alopecia.

After the incident, he further added to the tweet, mentioning that the message was meant for Jada Pinkett Smith too. He added, “This message was also for Will Smith’s wife even though she doesn’t know her. I am here to motivate you and help you build a high and strong self-esteem.”
