Tate was an accomplished kickboxer and a former world champion holding the ISKA cruiserweight championship. This status gave him a lot of knowledge about the inner workings of the sport. The ‘Mafia’ kickboxer appeared on a podcast with Anthony Pompliano and made a revelation about match-fixing. He detailed an incident in Iraq where a member of their parliament organized a kickboxing fight to help him become the sports minister.

“I was in Iraq, I was in Baghdad about three years ago. There was a member of parliament wanting to become the sports minister and to become sports minister. He wanted to fill a stadium and have a kickboxing fight in front of everyone.” He said.

However, Tate added that the minister allegedly fixed the fight and wanted Top G to give a speech in the end to give his event some credibility.” He didn’t want to lose. So, he fixed it and because he fixed it, he wanted legitimate world champions to come to give it credibility. And he want me to give a speech afterwards and he paid me a bunch of money and got me a government pass and a private jet from Romania to go to Iraq.” said Tate.

Top G has stated frequently that the fight world outside America has been plagued with politics and match-fixing. However, he does not have any solid proof of this and is mostly based on anecdotal evidence. Although he might not have solid proof, Tate’s word does hold some credibility, as he was a former kickboxer himself.
