After Marlon Tapales, ‘The Monster’ Naoya Inoue proved himself as one of the best of this era. His undefeated record and the way he dominates each fight is proof of his abilities. Of course, it is not just Inoue who has been doing well, Terence ‘The Bud’ Crawford is another name that pops up when talking about the best in the world. Much like Inoue, Crawford holds an undefeated record and is undisputed in two weight divisions.

Crawford and Inoue are both amazing fighters in their own right, but there can only be one that rises above. The comparison between the two has been up for a while ever since both their names appeared on top of the P4P rankings. Following the trend, a boxing page on Twitter decided to give some detailed rankings. They posted a ranking based on how many world champions they have beaten. Naoya Inoue outdoes Terence Crawford to steal the show

The list presents itself as, “The top 2 of the last era & The top 2 of this era”. Unsurprisingly, the best boxer who has beaten the most world champions is Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. The legend has beaten 23 world champions and has still managed to stay undefeated. Following him, Manny Pacquiao beat over 21 world champions. But, the interesting part comes with the top 2 of this era. Leading the current era, is Canelo Alvarez triumphing over 19 world title holders. After him, however, is not Fury, no Usyk or Crawford. It’s Inoue. Inoue has defeated a whopping 13 world champions.

According to the data, Crawford did not make the list as he has only beaten 11 title h0lders. Despite, the P4P rankings, Inoue has one-upped Crawford here. He comes closer to being the best in the world of our time. Inoue has proven himself again and again. His legacy continues to grow as he cements himself in a hall of achievements. After his victory over Tapales, will Gervonta Davis be the one he faces next?

Gervonta Davis shuts down rumors of a fight with Naoya Inoue

Davis said, “He’s NO WHERE near my weight” as he proceeded to call the page out about posting stuff that did not make sense. While Inoue has been crowned as the undisputed super-bantamweight champion, Davis fights in the lightweight category. A fight between the two will require either to climb up or down weight their class. While it is unlikely for now, it does pose a very exciting match to see two undefeated fighters go at each other.
