ESPN Ringside shared the video on Instagram which serves as a cautionary tale against against keeping your guard down in boxing. In the caption they wrote. “He thought he could take the punch.”

In the video, the fighter doesn’t take a proper stance and simply stands in front of his opponent as if inviting a punch. He received a right directly on his chin and it didn’t take long for him to crumble and fall down leaving the surrounding audience shocked.

Fans’ reaction to the fighter learning a lesson inside the ring

As the video of the fighter taunting his opponent and immediately getting punished surfaced, fans went wild in the comments section.

One user, elohimsgrace, humorously remarked, “Boy thought he was GGG.”

Another fan, rizzogram also took the chance to make fun of the fighter. He wrote, “’Protect yourself at all times’ Guess bro never got the memo.”

questionedtheory stated how lucky the fighter is that the opponent showed restraint otherwise things could have gone bad very quickly. He wrote, “He’s lucky homie was nice and didn’t follow with a left hook.”

gurtajmahal2733 also pointed out how the opponent didn’t put his all into the punch. He wrote, “And dude didn’t even put his hips into it and he knocked him out. Imagine if he would have done it full pivot. Dude would have got brain injury.”
