“By Knowing That I’m Stupid”: Mike Tyson Reveals How He Changed His Life

Mike Tyson is no less than a colossal brand in the dynamic boxing universe today. As famous as he was for his in-ring skills, Tyson was equally known for his antics outside the game. With that, he etched himself in millions of boxing fans’ eyes and cemented himself as a true bad boy of the sport. However, ever since he hung up his gloves, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ changed the course of his life altogether.
Acknowledging the same, he expressed his point regarding this change in an episode of the HotBoxin’ podcast. Here, the co-host, Terrell Owens, asked him how he abruptly transformed himself.
He responded, “No, it’s just that I’m stupid. And I know that I’m stupid. And by knowing that I’m stupid, God has mercy on me.”

Back in the 90s, the boxing world regarded Tyson as one of the most terrifying heavyweights of all time. He was a one-punch knockout artist who created magic inside the ring. In no time, ‘Iron’ Mike rose to blockbuster stardom in boxing.
The sensational pugilist bagged handsome paychecks for just a few minutes’ work inside the boxing ring and inspired many youngsters to take up the sport. Now, apart from inspiring fans with his skills, ‘Iron’ Mike wishes to inspire the upcoming generation of boxers with his positive deeds outside the fight world.

‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ was one intimidating personality in his prime boxing days, but as time passed, he gained experience of the world and changed his ways. He retired from the sport in 2005 with a wonderful record of 50 wins and 6 losses.
However, to keep his love for boxing alive, Tyson takes up exhibition fights. Ahead of his fight against Roy Jones Jr, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ revealed that all his earnings would go to charity.
