Now a wizened fifty-six-year-old, he was impressed when a youngster at his show displayed maturity much ahead of his ripe young age.

Cordae Amari Dunston, a well-known rapper, often going by his first name, Cordae was Mike Tyson‘s guest in the podcast’s latest episode. Post routine welcome, the former boxing great appreciated the twenty-five-year-old North Carolinian in the TED talk he gave.

Grateful for the kind words from a living legend, Cordae explained that a TED talk was one of the items on his bucket list. However, instead of approaching it as an avenue to enhance his brand value, the young rapper utilized TED to narrate an ‘imperfect journey.’

Mike didn’t lose Cordae’s humility and gratitude to God, You seem pretty spiritual yeah, I would say so yes what do you think about that what do you think that comes from?”

And unhesitatingly, the rapper credited his grandmother for his spirituality.

Mighty impressed, the former champion shared his thoughts on the heavy subject, “Listen, um sometimes, I’m spiritual and sometimes I think when I’m thinking spiritual in my Mystic way I look at a Bible or Quran I said can this really Define God in this book really defined God I don’t know…”

Then he explained how, if we project ourselves away from our planet, the insignificance of our existence might strike. The irrelevancy of our lives as we all go through the same ‘process.’

The youngster, who had been listening in rapt silence, agreed with Mike’s views, heart, and soul, Yeah and that’s a bar like s**t yeah that’s a bar I never thought about it like that.”

Khaled Mohammad Khaled, more popularly DJ Khaled, shared the details of his visit to Holy Mecca. Mike Tyson accompanied him. The duo performed the Umrah, a pilgrimage that can be initiated any time in a year.

The devotees, thoroughly humbled by the experience, expressed their indebtedness to the almighty.

Though born in a Roman Catholic family, Mike Tyson appears to have converted to Islam while serving a sentence for the Desiree Washington case. However, unlike Muhammad Ali, Tyson still uses his commonly known Christian name.

He told Full Send Podcast, “I have the characteristics of many religions, but I’m a Muslim. Somebody might think if I f**king speak Yiddish or if I speak Arabic, someone might think I’m either one or something. But, um, I love God. I do more praying than I can do. You know, my faith is to God and when I die Imma die a Muslim, it’s just who I am as a person.”
