Despite his loss on the 26th of February against Tommy Fury, Jake Paul shall not lose hope when it comes to potentially squaring off against Canelo Alvarez in boxing. Ahead and after his fight against Anderson Silva in boxing, the YouTuber publicly stated his desire to see himself against the ‘Mexican Phenom’ in the squared circle. Back then, as per Paul’s observations, Alvarez looked sort of “old” against Gennady Golovkin. Likewise, ‘The Problem Child’ spoke about facing Alvarez and proving a point to the world of boxing.

In a recent interview with FightHype, Canelo Alvarez, on being asked about Jake Paul’s loss to Tommy Fury, said that Paul would come back while supporting him. “Look, he’s gonna come back. He is young. I wish him all the best”, said Alvarez to FightHype. As Alvarez began walking, in a follow-up, the reporter enquired if the Mexican, in near future, would ever go up against Jake Paul in the ring. “You never say no, right?” humbly concluded Alvarez by saying.
Jake Paul wanted to face Canelo Alvarez following the latter’s match against ‘GGG’
When Canelo Alvarez squared off against Gennady Golovkin in a trilogy, ‘The Problem Child’ paid close heed. Last year on September 17th, with four Middleweight titles on the line, Alvarez and ‘GGG’ met each other for the final time in boxing. After the Mexican boxer defeated ‘GGG’, as reported by talkSPORT, Paul then declared by saying, “You [Canelo Alvarez] looked weird against [Gennady Golovkin], I still want that fight as well. I said it 18 months ago and I was sitting in a room just like this and everyone was like, ‘haha, f****** idiot’.”

Following his recent loss against Tommy Fury, fellow YouTuber KSI even taunted Paul alluding to his willingness to fight Alvarez in boxing. However, Alvarez, believes Paul would return to boxing. As per the rematch clause, Paul would again face Tommy Fury. Whether or not Paul improves his boxing skills remains a thing to witness.
