Jake Paul has been calling out Canelo Alvarez for some time. In fact, Paul argued that he would give Alvarez “a serious run for money“. On the other hand, while Canelo Alvarez did not directly accept Paul’s challenge, the Mexican boxer kept the prospect of a fight alive. Having praised Paul’s contribution to the sport, Alvarez said he would consider fighting Paul after he has retired professionally.

As per the latest updates, Alvarez will return against an American boxer during the Cinco de Mayo weekend this year. At this, while Canelo fans expect yet another blockbuster from the Mexican phenom, Paul claimed Alvarez was close to retiring. Therefore, the YouTuber-turned-boxer-turned-promoter hoped to face Alvarez soon in the ring.

He left PBC,” Paul added, reminding the media that Canelo parted ways with the PBC, having fought only once under the banner after signing a three-fight deal.

“So Canelo, once again, I wanna fight you, brother. Let’s make it happen. You can run, but you can’t hide,” concluded Jake. In this context, it is worth exploring what Alvarez had actually said regarding a potential match against Paul.
