Canelo Alvarez has already stated that he will be making his return to the ring on May 4th against an American opponent. Thus, it appeared that his pick would be amongst David Benavidez, Charlo, or Crawford.

As Cinco de Mayo approaches, the question on every boxing fan’s mind is, “Who will Canelo Alvarez fight next?” Eddy Reynoso, Canelo’s manager and trainer, recently took the chance to reveal some details about his plans for the next fight.

Last year, in a surprising move, Alvarez ended up signing a three-fight deal with PFL. He has already fought his first bout against Jermell Charlo. However, as we know, for now, the identity of the second mystery opponent is still unknown.

According to the tweet, Reynoso, in a Mexican podcast, hinted at negotiations with PBC and Prime, listing four possible opponents for Canelo: Munguia, Benavidez, Charlo, and Crawford. Though as we know now, Crawford is already out of the race which leaves only Charlo and Benavidez.
