In October 2021, Mike Tyson opened the gates of revenue generation by setting up his own cannabis line. Estimated to reach more than a whopping $160 million in revenue by the end of this year, it has shone a ray of hope for a lot of celebrities. Following this path, next in line came the former WWE superstar, Ric Flair who partnered up with Tyson to sell his own cannabis products in April 2022. Later this year, they were joined by another fellow WWE Hall-of-Famer, Hulk Hogan, who also developed an interest in the world of THC and CBD.

Interestingly, all of these companies are part of the same parent company, Carma HoldCo, which manages all these three companies. After the success of Tyson 2.0, all these renowned athletes started staking their money and reputation behind the creative mindset of Adam Wilks, the CEO of Carma HoldCo. Despite being part of the same group, they’re still each other’s business rivals. So, Wilks has himself shed some light on the common internal conflicts, they usually face in an EssentiallySports Exclusive interview. Adam Wilks spoke on ES FanCast with our Host Noah Lack.

The family of Carma is growing with every celebrity that has been joining them for the last couple of years. However, what’s commendable about their administration is how well they handled these different individual companies of Mike Tyson, Ric Flair, and Hulk Hogan. This was further unraveled by the CEO of Carma HoldCo, Adam Wilks, on how their parent company handles these tributaries of different cannabis companies.

What we’ve done with the four brands is differentiate the plant products. So Ric Flair may be a sun-grown flower, while Mike is an indoor flower, which is a completely different product in the vape. Ric is more in an affordable price in one market, while Mike is a little more on the higher end due to the quality of the product.” Adam Wilks told EssentiallySports. “Like the flower, I showed you, you see it’s rare to find something like that. Future and Tyson, on the flower side, are a bit on the premium product to what is going on with the Ric packaging. On the edible front, very similar, we did hash and edibles. So there are solvable edibles, and then there are distilled edibles, again different price points and completely different products. Solvable hash is just a different product, instead of using CO2 to extract the plant, you’re doing it with ice water, so it’s kinda like a washing machine, you’re washing the weed.

As it turns out, these methods will come in handy with their other additions in the coming future as well. Just a few weeks ago, the Carma family announced another talent that is becoming a part of their cannabis business. This time, they turned their heads towards the music industry.

Just a few weeks ago, the two-time Grammy winner and famous hip-hop artist Future also joined hands with the company. The American rapper has shown interest in the success of Mike Tyson, Ric Flair, and Hulk Hogan. Even the Carma HoldCo is looking forward to expanding its brand image, from just being the combat sports athletes. Thus, in September 2023, Future released his own icon-inspired cannabis company by the name of ‘Evol by Future’.

Even Adam Wilks was quite excited about this collaboration, as he went on to describe his products as “exceptional“. He said, “Future’s influence is second to none. Evol by Future will resonate with millions of cannabis enthusiasts as his music has millions of listeners, and we can’t wait to share Future’s exceptional strains in Nevada with Redwood Cultivation.
