Just before the two undisputed Champions Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo were getting prepared to face one another, a rumor surfaced that Showtime Boxing was going to be axed. The rumors suggested that Paramount might discontinue airing boxing matches after this year. The rivalry between Stephen Espinoza and Dana White is already well known and it once again reignited as the rumors flared up. Moreover, while addressing the rumors and clearing all the doubts surrounding the future of Showtime, Espinoza took the chance to fire back at White for his comments.
Though UFC’s head honcho didn’t pull his punches back either, further flaming the fire between the two. He stated, “F**** Espinoza, and it’s about time that s****y product is off the air.” In response, Espinoza claimed that the Alvarez-Charlo bout would be Showtime’s “third $20 million+ gate in the last six months.” However, White criticized him for taking all the credit away from the fighters for selling the fight. Stephen Espinoza calls Dana White “creepy”
Recently, White also posted a video in which Conor McGregor dubbed Espinoza a “F**ing Weasel”. He even blasted the network for their recent production of the recent mega event between Charlo and Alvarez. Recently, Espinoza did an interview with ESNEWS where he was asked to share his thoughts about Dana White’s comments bashing Showtime. The CEO of the $2.8 billion network, delivered a stinging response to Dana White’s relentless fixation. In the interview, Espinoza addressed the issue, stating, “I don’t understand the obsession; it’s a little bit creepy.”
He went on to highlight the fallacies in White’s statements, alleging, “It’s gotten to the point where he is making stuff up, you know, talking about replays and punches that didn’t happen.” Moreover, he seemed perplexed by White’s misrepresentation of events. He firmly asserted, “I’ve seen the show four times; it’s like that didn’t happen.”

He doubted White’s credibility and knowledge of the sport, as Espinoza pointed out, “He must not be either watching very closely or must not understand the sport.”
