Claressa Shields Questioned by Fans as She Claims to Have “Almost” Kicked an NYC Uber Driver’s “A**” for Being Rude

On the occasion of Ryan Garcia‘s fight against Devin Haney, Claressa Shields was in Brooklyn, New York. And like others, the ‘GWOAT’ enjoyed Garcia shocking and outboxing Devin Haney inside Barclays Center. However, after the fight, Claressa Shields ran into an unusual opponent as she booked a cab.

Although Claressa Shields did not elaborate, she completely regretted the cab driver’s behavior. At this, while Garcia, soaked in glory, enjoyed the massive win against Devin Haney, The two-time undisputed champion was ready to throw hands with the mentioned driver for being rude to her. Taking to X, the ‘GWOAT’ reported that she almost knocked the living daylights out of an Uber driver in New York City. “Boy I almost just kicked this Uber drive ass no cap! NYC got some rude ass drivers,” wrote Claressa Shields who attended Haney vs. Garcia as a host commentator for DAZN.

However, since a male sparring partner Arturs Ahmetovs had previously floored Claressa Shields in the past, as was evident from a controversial clip that was shared by Ahmetovs a few months ago, several fans refused to believe in her words.

In this connection, 2ToneDaSupastar, known for his podcasts, was reminded of the track that Shields released dissing Alycia Baumgardner lately. Wondering how Shields would have fought the Uber driver in question, he asked sarcastically if Shields had “put her music on the aux cord“.

On the other hand, a fan taunted Shields, saying that she would have lost it against the driver had she fought him.

Meanwhile, one echoed 2ToneDaSupastar and said, “You were not gonna do anything.

Similarly, one was not buying that Claressa Shields would beat up an Uber driver in NYC. “No you didn’t,” they wrote.

However, a fan quite generously added, in her support, “My money’s on you champ!!

Finally, one wrote that Claressa Shields was averse to taking disrespect.

Not one to take the disrespect lying down, Shields replied to 2ToneDaSupastar for making fun of her music, while also adding an update.

‘GWOAT’ corrects herself and blasts podcast host

An hour after the post about the Uber driver, Claressa Shields returned to X and corrected herself. As per the current undisputed Middleweight champion, it was not actually an Uber driver. Instead, the person in question worked for Lyft. “My bad this is Lyft!” she wrote.

In addition, she blasted 2ToneDaSupastar for making fun of her track “Yeah Glo!”. “The answer is no, and no I’m not ever letting you interview me on your pathetic YouTube channel,” she responded to 2Tone.

Anyway, despite everything, Shields is proud of Ryan Garcia and the surprising performance he displayed in Brooklyn. “He looked too strong, too big. And he started hurting Devin from the first round. Ryan definitely came to fight,” said Shields later, speaking to FightHype. According to her, the extra pounds Garcia carried definitely helped ‘KingRy’ “tremendously” against Devin Haney.
