From basketball prodigy to a 3-0 influencer boxing star, Julian Newman has quickly built a name for himself. After recently beating Thiirty by unanimous decision at Adin Ross’ Brand Risk 15, Newman had plenty to celebrate, but the spotlight has now shifted. The internet personality is facing scrutiny over a private family matter, with things heating up as per some clips.

A video of Newman, who comes off a win at Adin Ross’ Brand Risk event, having a public altercation with his sister Jaden Newman, has gone considerably viral. The video looks particularly ugly as she is seen shouting at him before even going in to attempt a swing/punch at Julian. Eventually, a bystander had to physically separate the two.

“Julian Newman and his sister Jaden Newman reportedly got into a heated fight last night following Julian’s boxing victory,” read the message on entertainment channel Offscript Clipz‘s Instagram post. “What started as a celebration quickly turned chaotic as the siblings appeared to clash after the event. The incident caught attention online, with footage circulating and fans reacting to the unexpected family drama.”

The comments center around a row that seemingly erupted between the brother and sister near the elevator at Brand Risk Warehouse in Miami, Florida. Making his third appearance on Adin Ross’s influencer boxing promotion, where he remains unbeaten, Julian defeated social media personality and fellow influencer Armando Rubio, aka Thiirty.

To be clear, what was the immediate cause of the squabble and who said what is not clear, since the footage only shows Jaden going after her brother, who is soon escorted to an open elevator by security.

In a recent video, Julian spoke about clips featuring Jaden that were leaked online. The influencer-boxer speculated that Jaden’s ex-boyfriend may have been behind the leaked videos. Intriguingly, he flipped the argument by saying that the footage would only draw more attention to his sister.

“To look at the brighter side of things on a positive note, she (is) going to be bigger than Kim K (Kim Kardashian), man. Like, for real. You know what I’m saying? Like, y’all care. Like, bro, it’s y’all just gassing her up. You know what I’m saying? Making her more known, making her more popular, you know?” he said on his YouTube channel.

While the circumstances surrounding the altercation remain unclear, the incident has once again put the famous sibling duo in the spotlight. The two have made headlines for a string of reasons over the years, including their basketball careers.

Basketball fame in the context

Back in 2012, Julian rose to fame as an 11-year-old prodigy who played varsity high school basketball at Downey Christian School. His flashy ball handling and deep shooting made him popular on the internet, with millions viewing his videos.

Later, he made appearances on several sports media outlets and talk shows as well. Julian later played as a point guard for Bethesda University.

Meanwhile, he started competing in exhibition boxing matches. Making his debut at Brand Risk on June 22 last year, he defeated Gio Wise by a majority decision. A few months later, he outpointed Christian Beatriz, aka Oblivion. It took him another ten months before Julian made a comeback against Thiirty.

Interestingly, his sister, younger than him by three years, also made a mark in basketball. As a part of Downey Christian School’s girls’ team, Jaden joined her brother in becoming the youngest boy and girl to exceed 1000 career points at the varsity prep level.

After graduating from high school four years ago, Jaden joined California State University in Los Angeles, where she played for the women’s basketball team.

While her brother drew accolades for his basketball career and now influencer boxing, Jaden, in the meantime, built a solid following on social media, where her following on both Instagram and TikTok is reported to stand at 1.9 million and 800k followers, respectively.

The latest video showing their differences also comes against the backdrop of the Newman siblings’ history of participating in their family-based reality show, “Hello Newmans.” The show was featured on YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook.

Given the famous siblings’ accomplishments, the coming days could reveal what the incident in Miami was all about.
