In a long and drawn-out court battle, Manny Pacquiao has lost $5,000,000 to Conor McGregor’s Paradigm Sports Management. The legal dispute between the two fighters began in 2017 when they were in negotiations for a potential boxing fight sometime in the future. Pacquiao claimed that he had signed a contract to fight McGregor. But the UFC fighter denied the existence of any such agreement. The legendary boxer sued McGregor, but the court ultimately ruled against him. Pacquiao’s lawyers argued that McGregor had acted in bad faith and had deliberately misled their client, causing him to lose out on a lucrative payday.

McGregor, on the other hand, maintained that he had never agreed to fight Pacquiao and that the Filipino fighter was simply trying to cash in on his popularity. This announcement came just one day after the anniversary of Floyd Mayweather’s victory over Pacquiao in 2015, adding salt to the boxing legend’s wounds. Conor McGregor has a financial stake in Paradigm Sports Management and is owed a commission off the Manny fight.
