He exited the ring with exhilaration and approached Mike Tyson who occupied one of those ringside seats. At this, Tyson, who arrived to witness his favorite fighter’s victory, unhesitatingly held David in his arms while the latter whispered a few words into his ears.

Gradually, Tyson then posed for a photo with Benavidez before the latter returned to the ring. Now, hours after the big fight, Benavidez revealed the photo he and Tyson clicked.

Mike Tyson has for long been in the corner of David Benavidez. Besides giving the WBC Interim Super Middleweight champion the nickname ‘Mexican Monster’, Tyson has always believed that ‘Red Flag’ “could beat everybody.” Likewise, he even encouraged David to gradually move up to Light Heavyweight and face Dmitry Bivol, the defeater of Canelo Alvarez. In this context, when Benavidez stopped Demetrius Andrade who may have played the role of a stepping stone, Mike Tyson was delighted.

Likewise, following the fight, attendee Mike Tyson hugged his favorite fighter, Benavidez. And later, ‘Red Flag’ took to Instagram and shared his photo with the former heavyweight champion of the world. “I love you Mike !!! Thank you so much for your support @miketyson,” he captioned the post.
