Tyson Fury amazed fans with his performance in his trilogy against Deontay Wilder last weekend. This was also his very first title defense, and it unquestionably ended in style with Fury winning the fight via a round 11 knockout. With that win, the Brit pinned himself as the ultimate star in the big division. Hence, the other contenders are desperate to get to his spot.
Among them, David Haye has remained highly assertive about battling his compatriot in a full-fledged boxing war.
Haye last fought in an exhibition fight against Joe Fournier, and in that fight, he emerged as a clear winner. Since then, the Brit has only had one opponent in mind-‘The Gypsy King’.

In a conversation with iFL TV, he said, “I’m just saying, there’s gonna be a time where they’re gonna need an opponent. And ideally you want an opponent that makes the most money. So FYI, the Hayemaker’s in the gym.” (h/t Michael Benson)
Fury‘s fight with Wilder was important for his legacy and undefeated record. ‘The Gypsy King’ eventually stood tall to every expectation as he enhanced his legacy and retained his undefeated record. That said, Fury will move on to bigger fights.
A fight with David Haye seems impossible at the moment because Fury holds the WBC belt. Hence, he will have to fight mandatory challengers or fellow champions.
Can David Haye ever secure a fight with Tyson Fury?
Tyson Fury, as the champion, will have a stacked fight plan for a while. ‘The Gypsy King’ will have to stay active in defending his title, otherwise, he might get stripped off the same.
