Pacquiao is celebrating the Tuna Festival, which is held annually in General Santos, Philippines in the first week of September. Unlike other festivals, this one is uniquely celebrating fish. The festivities commence with the colorful Tuna Float parade and Parada sa Dagat, featuring ocean-themed floats honoring the city’s culture. The tradition started back in 1988 to promote the city’s marine resources.

As years passed, more activities were added, turning it into the grand celebration it is today. Being a General Santos resident Pacquiao also took part in the celebration as well. He also shared several pictures of himself from the event. In one of the pictures he uploaded on X, he was speaking on the mic, and in another he appeared to have been honored as he stood in front of fans taking pictures of him. He wrote, “HAPPY TUNA FESTIVAL” in the caption.=
