Deontay Wilder Next Opponent: “The Bronze Bomber” Puts Oleksandr Usyk on Notice

The former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder calls out the unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk following a spectacular win over the high-rated European heavyweight Robert Helenius.

Following his exciting win, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ became emotional. He thanked everyone for supporting him in his low time and appreciated spectators for coming out to make his highly anticipated return more inspiring.

Next, he reminded the big names of the division that he was back with more energy and claimed that he was ready to face anyone to reign the throne of heavyweight once again. Since the Ukranian is rumored to be interested in locking horns with him so he put his name on notice.

“I’ve been hearing rumors about Usyk. I see he ain’t in the building or is he? Most of the time when guys say they want me and they come to a show of mine and then they see a devastating knockout like that they turn the corner on me. I had only had a minute so I’m down for whatever what is this Andy Ruiz or where is Usyk or whoever. Let’s bring it on”, Wilder said in the post-fight ring interview.

The 36-year-old ended his speech by claiming that he is back again and there is no excitement in the division without him.

The picturesque knockdown wins of Frank Sanchez, the heavyweight prospect, and the former super middleweight champion Caleb Plant had already set the rhythm of the showdown when Wilder made his walk to the ring.

The knockout machine of modern-day boxing did what he had promised before stepping inside the Barclays Center in New York. He showed he still got power in his right hand that had terrorized the ring for years.

In the opening round, only he stopped Helenius with a short but lethal right hand.

A closer look shows that he was doing pretty well in the ring. His footwork was fine and his jab was constantly keeping his opponent at a distance.
