Sometimes trolled for his outfit, sometimes hailed, Mayweather knows his way around rocking an outfit. Whatever the world might think, the former welterweight champion has one fan in his corner, who always approves of his sartorial fashion choices. His first child, Iyanna Mayweather, born to his former partner Melissa Brim, took to her Instagram stories, endorsing her dad’s New Year outfit. She wrote, “Happy New Year from the man himself.” Let’s take a look at how “the man” chimed in 2024.

A Blingy New Year for Floyd Mayweather

Di’Angelo, a rising designer, shared images of ‘Money’ in his creation, a grey co-ord set with yellow stripes on them. Dapper Mayweather accessorized the outfit with his signature bright yellow hat, a drop pendant studded with heavy diamonds, a diamond ring, and a watch encrusted with even more diamonds. The watch, a highlight among his accessories, is a Jacob & Co.’s $18 million Billionaire diamond tourbillon watch, that he bought in 2018.

While Money celebrated New Year’s in all styles, his Christmas was rather quiet. On his Instagram stories, the 46-year-old on Christmas night wrote, “At home watching The Color Purple.” In the carousel stories, there were musical clips of the award-winning 1985 Steven Spielberg-directed movie. In the last slide, his feet appeared with him relaxing in front of the fireside.

The intrigue around Mayweather’s opulent lifestyle during the holidays was recently broken down by his uncle Jeff Mayweather.

Jeff Mayweather Spills the Beans on ‘Money’

While talking to Daily Star Sport, ‘Pretty Boy’ Mayweather’s uncle Jeff Mayweather outlined how his superstar nephew usually celebrated the holiday season. He remarked, “Floyd had everything catered. It was always a lot of people at his house. It was like his circle of people. Some of them that are still a part of his circle now were a part of his circle many, many years ago as well. So he surrounded himself with the people that he knew. You know, some family were there from time to time. It was a great time.”

He added that Mayweather’s team, including the CEO of his promotions company, Leonard Ellerbe, would also join the celebrations. Jeff explained, “There would also be friends he made since he came to Las Vegas and some friends that he brought here from Michigan that are still a part of the circle now.”
