However, all of a sudden Garcia changed his mind and decided to pursue Rolando Romero‘s WBA Super-Lightweight title. However, since Romero will now fight Isaac Cruz on March 30th, Garcia and Haney resumed their conversation.

According to the latest updates, team Garcia approached Devin Haney with the biggest payday of his professional career. However, the current WBC Super-Lightweight champion demanded double the figure offered to him. Here is what happened.

Devin Haney took to X only yesterday and asked for a “real offer” from Oscar De La Hoya. In his reply to Haney, Ryan Garcia informed the public that things were moving forward. Along these lines, after asking Haney to call De La Hoya, ‘KingRy’ confidently announced they would “get this done“. Anyway, as per the latest updates, after Garcia’s conversation with Haney on X, the former’s team offered ‘The Dream’ the biggest payday of his career. However, Haney turned the offer down.

Taking to X, Ray Jackson reported, “Devin Haney was offered $10M guarantee to fight Ryan Garcia, the biggest PAYDAY of his career and turned it down.” “Sources say he’s asking for $20M if the fight doesn’t happen we all know why #GarciaHaney,” he added. Soon, in yet another tweet of his, Jackson informed the public that Haney blocked him on X since he “got mad“. In addition, Jackson claimed Haney “didn’t wanna sign the contract to fight Ryan Garcia“.

Despite the tweets by Ray, one must mention that the boxing world has yet to receive an official decision from both Team Garcia and Team Haney.

Can we expect team Ryan Garcia to satisfy Haney’s demands?

After Garcia and Haney expressed the desire to square off against one another, Oscar De La Hoya was greatly excited. As a result, he took to X and claimed that as Ryan Garcia’s promoter he wanted ‘KingRy’ “to make a sh*t load of money” and defeat “the very best“. Likewise, he gave a nod to Garcia vs. Haney. On the other hand, after Romero signed a deal with Cruz, De La Hoya looked forward to announcing something big for April 20th.
