In a highly anticipated showdown, Devin Haney is gearing up to face Regis Prograis this Saturday on DAZN pay-per-view, marking his debut at Super Lightweight. Despite relinquishing his undisputed lightweight titles last month, a victory in this bout would see him become a two-division undefeated champion. The financial stakes are as high as the sporting ones, with Haney’s reported payout drawing attention.

Meanwhile, Prograis has kept mum about his earnings. With the fight just around the corner, Haney did an interview with DAZN Boxing. During the interview, ‘The Dream’ discussed the position of various boxers, both professional and influencers, in a boxing tier list. Interestingly, he placed Jake Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, even above him, though with a little condition.

Devin Haney places Jake Paul with the likes of Fury, Usyk, and Alvarez

During the interview with DAZN, Devin Haney shared his high opinion of the YouTuber. He even placed ‘the Problem Child’ above himself, Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia, and Shakur Stevenson. He stated, “I think Jake Paul is okay, he’s a real boxer.” He placed Paul in the “GOAT” tier, however, it was under one condition. That is, according to Haney, he holds such status in the influencer boxing scene. He added, “But I think he is GOAT when it comes to influencer boxing.”

Meanwhile, he placed Tyson Fury, Canelo Alvarez, and Oleksandr Usyk along with Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor in the GOAT Category. He placed himself among “all-time greats” along with Davis, Vasyl Lomachenko, and GGG. Though he did add the distinction that he is “soon to be GOAT”. Sadly for his other contemporaries such as Garcia, Stevenson, and Anthony Joshua as well as his opponent, Prograis, they were placed even below him in the “Good” category.

Ryan Garcia’s Surprising Boxing Tier List Places Jake Paul Among Champions

As he looked forward to making a comeback against Oscar Duarte, Ryan Garcia did a promotional video with DAZN. Interestingly, Garcia placed Paul in the category as Haney and Prograis, labeling them all as ‘good’. Despite Paul’s limited experience and a sole loss against a professional boxer, Garcia acknowledged him alongside seasoned champions.

However, he doesn’t seem to hold Paul’s long-standing rival KSI in the same regard, stating that he should “retire.” Moreover, he placed Manny Pacquiao on the ‘GOAT’ tier. Meanwhile, Canelo Alvarez, Tyson Fury, Amanda Serrano, and Katie Taylor found themselves in ‘all-time greats’.
