Floyd Mayweather‘s watch collection is insane! From the $18 million ‘Billionaire Watch,’ to a few other rarest pieces, the undefeated former champion proudly ensures that his wrist remains visible besides his big smile in pictures. A YouTube Short couldn’t have validated his love for the tickers any better. It showed the boxer carrying cash worth $1 million and wearing a luxury watch.

Understandably, many turned philosophical on watching the legend’s apparent ostentation. Some even questioned the reportage that focused on a watch costing less than the bills he wielded. “Here we have Floyd Mayweather, and yeah, he’s holding a light million, but what really matters is that insane watch he’s wearing. That’s an AP Royal OAK Offshore chronograph, and it currently sells for almost $84,500.” The clip has received a flurry of comments from social media users who couldn’t hold back.

“When it’s your time to die, game over”: Fans voice out against Mayweather’s antics

Turning to sarcasm, a user named Lindsay commented on the post telling Mayweather Jr. not to lose sight of the money when he goes to heaven, “Don’t forget to take it to heaven with you…” Another user named Robert also mentioned that concern for that sum of money would stroke his ego. They wrote, “Caring [for] that amount of money is only for your ego.” Meanwhile, one user highlighted how Mayweather Jr. carried the bundle of million-dollar bills. Still, all the reporter could care about was a watch worth eighty-five thousand dollars. They wrote, “He’s carrying a literal million in cash, and this guy’s drooling over [an] $85,000 watch…

A user named Achilles mentioned that hardly anyone is bothered by such news, “Nobody cares.” But soon, he received a reply from Cecil Jones, who said he agreed with his (Achilles’) statement. He doesn’t loathe anyone in particular. But it’s an aberration to come across a billionaire casually carrying cash so openly in his hands. According to Jones, perhaps, Mayweather Jr. is smitten by material goods; so much that he doesn’t have time to spare for better things.

Jones mentioned, “I agree with you. I don’t hate on anyone, but you don’t see billionaires walking around holding money in their hands…He worshipping material things. One thing he can’t buy is death and no matter who you are and how much money you have when it’s your time to die game over?

Respect and accolades were his to take inside the ring. Nevertheless, Floyd Mayweather Jr. likes to enjoy luxury. He jet-sets across the globe and wants nothing less than the best for himself and his family. It translates into some of the priciest, high-end automobiles, jewelry, and choicest real estate.

However, this isn’t the first time the undefeated boxer has shown off his wealth. He has done so on many occasions and there is a reason behind his moniker, ‘Money’. As per reports, the pugilist was once joking and throwing money into a camera and that’s where his nickname originated from.
