You know a man is dangerous when he receives the nickname of ‘The Executioner’. Well, Bernard Hopkins was indeed a force to be reckoned with. Very few boxers have been as dominant as Hopkins was in the middleweight division in the early 2000s. Currently, Hopkins, after his retirement, works as De La Hoya’s business partner in Golden Boy Promotions.

Bernard Hopkins believes fans are losing interest in Haney vs. Garcia

In the interview with FightHype Hopkins started by saying, “The world of boxing fans, casual or hardcore are tired of hearing lip service, I think they wanna hear now, actions.”

He talked of how Haney and Garcia are all talk but no show. The former undisputed middleweight champion believes that the fans want to see the contract signed rather than see fighters engage in relentless trash talking. He went on to say, “I think the drama queens is starting to get to the point where the fans are getting turned off and don’t care who they fight or when the fight.”
