Last October, Caleb Plant scored a victory against Anthony Dirrell in the ring. However, Plant’s toughest adversary remains Canelo Alvarez, who handed Plant his only loss via technical knockout in the 11th round. Despite being knocked down for the first time by Alvarez, Plant still holds a great deal of admiration for the Mexican fighter. So much so that, when David Benavidez’s father, Jose Benavidez Sr., was talking foul about Canelo, Plant stepped in to get his facts right.

Another reason, why Caleb Plant possibly intervened, was also because of his rivalry with David Benavidez. The fighters have been going back and forth for a while now and on March 25, the two will settle it inside the ring. Their online trash-talking has gone extreme at times, as once Caleb Plant reportedly bought a domain named after David Benavidez to sell his own merchandise.

Recently, Caleb Plant responded to a video of Benavidez’s father talking about his fight against Canelo. And according to Plant, his claims were not accurate about the sellout numbers of their fight.
