Eddie Hearn Provides Monumental Update on Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury

As we walk closer to the mega clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, things are slowly and simultaneously getting dramatic and steady. After an initial confirmation of the fight, WBC champion Fury flew down to Las Vegas, and is currently undergoing an active training camp.

Although we are yet to receive an official date and venue, Matchroom Kingpin Eddie Hearn has revealed that the fight will not fall off the cards. Akin to Fury, Eddie Hearn is also in Las Vegas and he recently provided some incredible updates.

In a chat with Sky Sports, the promoter said, “Both sides have approved the site offer that they want to go with, and now we’re just finalising the site deal and we’re in a great place.”

Moreover, Hearn also claimed that he met Tyson Fury in the hotel and shed light on the brief interaction they had. Speaking of his meeting with ‘The Gypsy king’, Hearn said, I saw Tyson yesterday. I just messaged him and said, ‘I’m in Vegas, I’m in your hotel if you fancy a cuppa’.”

He added, “We just had five or 10 minutes together and it was good, because I don’t represent Tyson Fury, so I don’t know what is in his mind. What he basically cemented in my mind was, this is the only fight he wants, and I know that’s the same with AJ.”

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua- More update on the fight

Both the champions will reportedly share a 50/50 purse split in their original battle. Meanwhile, the winner will enjoy a 60/40 favor in the rematch with all the heavyweight belts on the line, on both occasions. As per the ongoing scene, the first fight may take place in late September and the rematch might take place next year.

The heavyweight battle has also split the boxing world into two halves. However, most of the specialists have backed up Tyson Fury to win. Although Anthony Joshua has come back stronger from the sole loss of his career, he still is the underdog against an undefeated Fury. But considering the intensity of the high voltage -heavyweight battle, anything can happen inside the ring.
