The controversial figures of boxing, Conor Benn and Gervonta Davis, sparked interest in a potential showdown. However, despite the buzz, Gervonta Davis didn’t accept Matchroom Boxing’s offer, leaving promoter Eddie Hearn to explore other options to keep Benn active inside the ring. Their social media feud escalated after Benn’s performance against Peter Dobson in Las Vegas was deemed subpar.

This created additional anticipation for a potential clash between the two outspoken personalities. But the fight wouldn’t be happening since Davis had rejected the offer made to him. And instead, reportedly, ‘Tank’ is going to fight undefeated boxer Frank Martin. Furthermore, this has forced Hearn to look for other opponents, and here are some potential fighters in his mind for Conor Benn.

Despite the Davis fight falling through, Hearn’s comments suggest strong interest in Benn. This could be due to Benn’s exciting fighting style, his undefeated record, or simply the buzz surrounding his recent hearing. Whatever the reason, Benn appears to be a fighter in demand, attracting potential opponents despite the uncertainty. Furthermore, in an interview with FightHype, Eddie Hearn shed more light on the negotiation with Gervonta Davis.

Hearn stated, “No it definitely wasn’t that much money. I mean it was a base offer, I’ve already said it was eight figures. But with pay-per-view bonuses gate upside could have made $25 million, if the fight is big which I believe it is. But you know he didn’t really want to entertain the conversations, no problem with it. Not he’s scared to fight Connor Ben, of course he’s not.

Furthermore, he continued, “Just obviously has other plans and if he doesn’t want to make 15-20 million to fight Connor Ben, there’s not a lot we can do. So we move on and you know a big name will be next.” Now this begs the question, what big fight? Hearn further revealed some updates about Benn’s future prospects.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn recently revealed the potential for another “big fight,” but it hinges on a crucial decision from the British Boxing Board of Control. Following Benn’s recent hearing with the commission, a ruling is awaited. This decision will significantly impact whether the “big fight” materializes or if Benn faces further setbacks. The nature of the “big fight” itself remains under wraps.

Hearn made it clear that there are many names lined up to fight the British boxer. He mentioned, “You’ve seen Danny Garcia call him out. We love the Mario Barrios fight, you know. Who knows whether Chris Eubank Jr wakes up. Kell Brook, Liam Smith, you’ve seen a lot of fighters call him out. And in May, I believe the latest early June you’ll see a massive fight for Conor.
