YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI and Joe Fournier clash tonight at the Wembley Arena. The Cruiserweight match fought as part of the MF & DAZN: X Series 007 features other fights, including a Light Heavyweight bout between KSI’s brother Deji Olatunji and rapper Swarmz. This event follows the successful edition in January when KSI ousted Faze Temperrr in the first round of their match. Among other updates that cover X Series 007, one in particular aroused curiosity. TalkSPORT’s online boxing editor Michael Benson shared earlier today that Tommy Fury would be present during the KSI-Fournier match.

The tweet read, “Tommy Fury will be ringside for KSI vs. Joe Fournier….” In addition, it displayed Fury’s Instagram page with the message, “@KSI, I’ll be watching. From ringside.” The scion of the Fury family quelled naysayers’ doubts about his boxing abilities when he defeated long-time rival Jake Paul in February. But the updates seem to have barely impinged on the followers’ enthusiasm. While a few questioned his role in the ongoing influencer boxing narrative, some dismissed it as a shenanigan.

Tommy Fury, what about some real boxing?

One user seems embarrassed by the information and feels that a YouTuber and a former reality show runners-up raking in more moolah than professional boxers is discouraging.

But user Drake, however, disagrees. He feels there’s no point in blaming Tommy Fury. After all, he earns more by taking on unchallenging and comfortable contestants.

However, the news, on the other hand, perplexes the following user. When Tommy Fury is a ranked professional boxer, why should he bother himself with YouTube boxing? He wonders.

Another user also shared similar views. According to him, Fury spends too much time in the influencer boxing scene. He defeated Jake Paul, the most well-known representative of the genre. Hence, he should be done away with it, or he will become a full-time influencer boxer. He may as well forget about becoming a real-world champion, maybe like his half-brother.

The following user wonders whether former cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew will be there to ensure everyone returns home unharmed to their families when things heat up.

Talks on Tommy Fury’s next move have been going on for some time. First, Jake Paul and Fury expressed interest in a rematch. Then there are talks of Logan Paul entering the ring to avenge his little brother, according to an article in ladbible.com. Finally, there could be a KSI and Tommy Fury contest, as the former recently hinted during an interview with iFL TV.
