After the ninth-round TKO loss to Terence Crawford in July last year, Errol Spence Jr. said he was “a little off physically” at 147 lbs. At the post-fight presser, ‘The Truth’ also claimed his timing was off. Therefore, the former unified Welterweight champion hoped the rematch would take place at 154 lbs. And although Spence Jr. activated the rematch clause in September last year, ‘Bud’ vs. ‘The Truth’ seems far from happening as Errol recovers from eye surgery.

In this context, Spence Jr.’s former trainer Derrick James revealed he has not been in touch with ‘The Truth’. On the other hand, matchmaker Rick Glaser alleged that Spence Jr. had not paid James’ fees for the Terence Crawford fight. Here is what happened.

I would say this – If you gon’ fight I would think that would be a fight to fight,” James replied. Soon, in light of these statements, matchmaker Rick Glaser claimed Errol Spence Jr. had not paid James’ fees.

Rick Glaser calls out Spence’s “p*mp ‘n H*e Mentality”

Taking to X, Glaser announced that Errol Spence Jr. had not paid Derrick James his fees for the Terence Crawford fight. “It could be Errol didn’t like Derrick James fight plan. Additionally, he wrote, “Looks like Errol has that p*mp ‘n H*e mentality. @ErrolSpenceJr pay Derrick!!! #Boxing
