Evander Holyfield Reveals the Hardest Puncher He Has Faced – It’s Not Mike Tyson

Evander Holyfield has left a legacy that will remain unparalleled for years to come. The then undisputed king of the cruiserweight division, and later at the heavyweight division, turned the world upside down when he beat a prime Mike Tyson to grab the WBA heavyweight championship.
Widely regarded as the fiercest puncher the world of boxing has ever known, Holyfield cruised past Iron Mike. However, Tyson is not the most powerful puncher Holyfield has faced in his boxing career.
In conversation with legendary boxing trainer Teddy Atlas, Holyfield revealed that former two-time world heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medallist George Foreman is the hardest puncher he has ever faced.

However, Holyfield noted that his most notable win was against Mike Tyson. Furthermore, he recalled how his family at ringside stopped him from doing the kind of celebration that he probably wanted to do after beating one of the greatest of all time.

George Foreman is a respected name in the world of boxing. He is one of the most pivotal figures in sports entertainment and is a very distinguished fighter.
Foreman took on Holyfield for the WBA, WBC, and the IBF heavyweight titles back in April 1991. He was then riding on a 24-fight win streak. Foreman had never gone to a decision in the past decade. However, ‘The Real Deal’ proved his mettle against one of the most lethal punchers in the form of “Big George.”
