Ryan Garcia will enter the ring at any time to face Oscar Duarte. Though it is a non-tile fight, it has already attracted enough attention for quite a few reasons, many of which fall outside of boxing. Now a new report seems to be joining the list. Speaking to Brian Custer a few days ago, Garcia claimed that he had been injured prior to the square-off against Gervonta Davis. It didn’t take much time for one of the leading protagonists to join in with a clapback.
Writing back, Gervonta Davis sounded astonished at Garcia’s new-found contention. He even predicted that the Californian may go out of steam within a year or two. His sheer lack of discipline and commitment would be the cause of his downfall. The WBA Lightweight champion wrote, “Tbh, idk why this kid talking. It’s over for this guy..give him a year, 2 or less, no discipline, no dedication..he showed yall on all access, and it went right over yall head.”

Ryan Garcia: With dim prospects
It was only a matter of time before followers chimed in with their comments. On Garcia’s career trajectory, most seemed to agree with Davis. However, some did manage to find a loophole in the Baltimorean’s statement and stepped on it without much ado.
Blasting Ryan Garcia for not being a complete fighter, this user mentioned that through his career, ‘KingRy’ has focused only on building a social media
Garcia has been a social media personality his entire career. He's half a boxer

To his utter surprise, this user finds himself agreeing with Davis for the first time. They never liked him since the Baltimorean made it a habit of calling himself the ‘face of boxing.’ However, the user agreed with Davis when he mentioned that Garcia does not have any courage. Even Canelo Alvarez mentioned it.
I definitely don't like tank because he thinks he is the face of boxing, canelo is his daddy, but first time I agree with his comment, Ryan has no heart, even canelo said it, kid is wasted.

According to this follower, after every bout, Ryan Garcia has a few standard words to say. He claimed he wasn’t the same person that he was after losing to ‘Tank.’ It’s high time the Californian put an end to such a charade and moved ahead in life.
Every fight ryan say “this is the best version of me. I’m the sharpest I’ve ever been” . He lost to tank then this fight he saying he wasn’t the same . man Shutup take the L and keep it moving 🤣.

This user also agreed with Gervonta Davis. He seemed doubtful whether Garcia would win against Duarte. However, a win would see his fortunes rise again. But the user posited that overall ‘KingRy’ was losing steam.
Tank is not wrong. If Ryan wins today (which I doubt), his stock will be trading high again. However, his momentum is going low… He likely loses today.

But this follower took up the cudgels to question Gervonta Davis. They highlighted how ‘Tank’ missed weight three times. But the audacity he displays talking about discipline.

It was a body shot that closed the deal for Ryan Garcia on April 22. The excruciating pain forced him to sit down, and he couldn’t get on the referee’s count.
Unresolved argument
Speaking on ‘The Last Stand,‘ Garcia said, “No, well, you know, I did go into the ring with a a rib injury, a separated rib. Uh, from sparring, I was dehydrated, and um, it was like one of the first shots of sparing.” Then he described how, despite not being a hard hit, he had to visit the hospital and went inactive for some time. More so, it was too late for him to pull out the fight, given how everyone was so invested in it.

Thus, Gervonta Davis’ disparagement should surprise anyone. Though the duo shook hands after the bout. It seems the difference was never shooed away. So much so, while speaking on ‘Complex,‘ Davis went to the extent of claiming that Ryan Garcia shouldn’t even be a boxer! Many fans look forward to a rematch between the two. However, ‘KingRy’ made it clear that if it happens, then it has to be 140 pounds or above.
