50 Cent is “In Da Club”. No, we are not referring to the rapper’s iconic hit, but the fact that he has dived into the ongoing spat between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Gervonta Davis (now Abdul Wahid). 50 Cent, who once challenged Mayweather Jr. to read one page of a Harry Potter book is once again taking jabs at the boxer as fans can’t get over this banter.

Davis, who has fought under Mayweather promotions, has been pretty vocal against his former mentor and even threatened to knock him out recently. The feud has escalated online since with Davis recently claiming that Mayweather is being held hostage in Dubai over some unpaid dues and offered help. ‘Tank’ and ‘The Money’s latest spat gave 50 Cent an opportunity to enjoy some banter.

The feud between Gervonta Davis and Mayweather began after ‘Money’ made comments about fighters’ preoccupation with aspects of fame and wealth. He said, “A lot of times what these fighters are looking at – they’re looking Floyd with the cars, they’re looking at Floyd being flashy. Man listen, I made so many sacrifices. Y’all are looking at the end results.” Davis took this as a dig at himself and called Floyd Mayweather Jr. a ‘hater’ and claimed that the former world champion is in Dubai and cannot leave on account of some unpaid dues.

He said, “N**** say all this bull**** but in Dubai and can’t leave becuz he been taking n***** money and not doing what they paid him to do..n**** a f****** hater,” in an Instagram story. Responding to a fan tweet, Davis further said, “If I’m lying tell him to go live right now. He’s been stuck over there for a minute too.” In response, Mayweather posted a video of Davis dancing and wrote, “We always knew he had sugar in his tank.” But since then, Davis has doubled down on his allegations about his former mentor being unable to move out of Dubai.

He tweeted, “They got Floyd ass for real..tell him I’ll send him a wire..LET MY F*****G FAMILY GO.” The boxer then seemingly called out 50 Cent for his assistance and wrote, “Let me call 50; we gotta get this ni**a home by Monday.

So tagging all those messages from the young boxer on his Instagram post, 50 Cent wrote, “Oh nah, this sh*t is real. @gervontaa would not say no sh*t like that if it wasn’t official. Me and Champ be beefing, but he my brother. I got some money if he need it!” This back and-forth between Davis and Mayweather and the arrival of 50 Cent onto the scene has left some fans amused.

“Crazy but hilarious” fans having a laugh after Gervonta Davis’ outlandish claims

Needless to say, fans found this bonhomie between ‘Tank’ and 50 Cent rather amusing. Most probably couldn’t control themselves from guffawing, hence they took to social media and expressed how they felt about the whole ordeal.

Following Davis’ post where he called out to help Mayweather, leading to 50 Cent’s comments a fan couldn’t control their amusement. The X user finds the entire episode insane but at the same time very funny.

Boxers taking to social media to ignite a feud or make outlandish claims isn’t anything new or surprising. Last month fans saw Ryan Garcia take over social media by calling out Kanye West, referring to Elon Musk as the antichrist, and much more in the build up to his fight against Devin Haney. This led many to believe that he may not be in the best of mental states. But Garcia after beating Haney revealed that all this was a part of his plan and that he was “acting.”

Davis signed with Mayweather Promotions in 2015. Under the banner, Davis battled to a perfect 26-0 but then moved away in 2022 to manage his own career. It was believed that Davis was unhappy with how wasn’t given big fights. But the two appeared to have reconciled Given that Mayweather showed up in Davis’ corner for his fight against Garcia last year, are things really bad between the two? Could this all be a play by Davis before his June 15 fight against Frank Martin?

Taking a meme GIF’s help, the next user pondered whether ‘Tank’ would be closely observing how social media turned a big advantage for Ryan Garcia and his campaign.

Davis signed with Mayweather promotions in 2015 and fought to a perfect 26-0 record under them. However, in 2022, he left to manage his own career feeling that he wasn’t getting big fights under the Mayweather banner and that they focused heavily on ‘The Money.’ The two have rarely seen eye to eye since.

Mentioning Davis’ claims about Mayweather owning money in Dubai, a fan asked him to send the money quickly with a subtle nod to the Gulf nation’s strict laws.

As far as 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are concerned, reportedly until 2012, the duo shared a close bond. However, rifts over business dealings supposedly caused the two to part ways. Then in 2014, 50 Cent took a dig at Mayweather’s reading abilities and offered him $750,000 if read a page from a Harry Potter book. He said, “If you can read one full page of a Harry Potter book n***a, I’ll give $750,000 to whatever charitable organisation you want.”

Mayweather, however, turned this offer down. In 2022, 50 Cent did reveal that he and the boxer have since made up. Last year on The Breakfast Club, the rapper revealed that he apologized to Mayweather, who responded, “What took you so long?. In the interview, the rapper also said they had hung out in Vegas together, seemingly burying the hatchet.

Still, a fan found 50 Cent’s remarks over Davis’ comments quite hilarious.

Come June 15, and after a break of over twelve months, fans will see ‘Tank’ entering the ring again. He will defend his title against Frank Martin at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. But will he have to contend with Mayweather in the buildup? So far, the 50-0 boxer hasn’t responded to his “Dubai hostage” claims.

Could all this be part of an elaborate ruse as pointed out earlier? What’s your take on the entire situation? Please share your views and thoughts with us in the comments below.
