On the grandest stage of the Oscars on Sunday night, things took an unexpected turn when Chris Rock made jokes about Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith. When the moment of presenting an award arrived, Rock compared Jada Pinkett-Smith’s hair-related issues to that of Demi Moore’s character in the film G.I. Jane.

Will Smith, the King Richard star who bagged the best actor award later that night, couldn’t hold back his emotions at that point. Smith walked up to Rock and slapped him as the Dolby Theatre watched in disbelief.

Reportedly, Will and Rock who worked as co-actors in the movie Torrance Rises are yet to smoothen things up between themselves. Hopefully, they will find a way. But to add to comic relief, here’s how Mike Tyson fans reacted to the entire situation as it happened.

There is a common notion about ‘The Baddest man on the planet’ is that he is not meant to mess up with. It is this belief that seemed to get reiterated all over Twitter.

A Twitter user, Mikey Bats, left a post that claimed, “Will Smith wouldn’t have done anything if it was Mike Tyson up there instead..”

Another fan, Matt Rush, said he wanted to have Mike Tyson host the Oscars next year to see if Will Smith could run back the same treatment. As if he almost dared Will Smith to see if he could survive the immediate consequence.

Irrespective of the scenario, the Twitter community always finds a peculiar way to react. The fun and the comments just do not seem to end.

When the Twitter world was pouring in their votes for Mike Tyson to be the next host, a user with handle named, @AVenezuelan19, joined in solidarity. “I think Mike Tyson should be the next Oscars’s host as comedians can’t do comedy anymore”, she posted.

Iwa-chan opined that they “secretly” wanted Mike Tyson to host the next Oscars.

Following the trend, Tommy Moustache uploaded Will’s public apology. However, he too sniffed the air for rumors about Mike Tyson being Oscar’s next host.

We would never know what Will Smith would have had done had it been Mike Tyson instead.
