After a break of six long months, Teofimo Lopez is finally back in the gym and grinding. ‘The Takeover’ last fought in November 2021 against George Kambosos Jr. inside the glorious MSG, New York. Following his bout against Kambosos Jr., Lopez went through an arthroscopic surgery and hence remained out of training for some time. However, now, the champ is all healed and plans to get back inside the ring as early as possible.

Having returned to the gym on the first day, Lopez skipped jumping ropes with his heart out. He made a brief video of him warming up with the rope and uploaded the same on his Instagram. Demonstrating impressive speed and footwork, Lopez literally toyed with the skipping rope, seeing which now fans are going insane.

Teofimo Lopez uploaded the video and wrote, “First day back 🦾 #TheTakeback #EssentiaNation.” After the Kambosos Jr. fight, ‘The Take Over’ went through arthroscopic surgery on his right hand. Back in February, he also was reported to have endured the same, but that was on the elbow of his left hand.

Therefore, now, as it looks, Teofimo Lopez records a surgery on both of his hands – the arsenals he strongly relies upon while fighting. One may ask, but why a video of him jumping ropes? Probably, it is because Lopez wants his fans to know how well his arms have healed.

ESPN Ringside also shared the training video and as they did, fans poured in their reactions in abundance. A user by the handle, questioneverything64 wrote, “Wow. Beast.”
In a similar attitude, another individual, by the name garzarez wrote, “The champ is back. TEOFIMO ALL DAY.”
While they commented on Teofimo’s comeback, a user called panamap05 commented, “I like Teo…the win after Loma was interviews, celebrating…focused, he is dangerous.”
