Floyd Mayweather Debunks Manny Pacquiao Rematch Rumors Following ‘Scared to Death’ Remarks by Filipino’s Pride

After Mikuru Asakura in Japan, Floyd Mayweather is now engaged in processing an exhibition fight with YouTuber Deji. It is not yet a complete month since Mayweather fought his last fight, and we already have a date for Mayweather vs. Deji. While Mayweather prepared himself for his fifth exhibition fight this November against Deji, Manny Pacquiao announced his exhibition debut in the ring.

Amidst the news of Manny Pacquiao signing up to fight YouTuber DK Yoo on December 10 and Mayweather nearing closer to squaring off with Deji, The Sun reported the news of Mayweather and Pacquiao’s second fight.

The Sun reported that Floyd Mayweather was officially in talks to rematch Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas with his pro record on the line. They even claimed that Global Titans was promoting this upcoming Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight. However, Floyd Mayweather himself took to Instagram recently and declared the entirety of it to be fake news.

In three of his Instagram stories, Mayweather in a succession said, “Not true, False, and Fake news.” The Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao fight took place on the 2nd of May, 2015. With three major welterweight titles on the line, the fight went the whole distance. In the end, it was Mayweather who won the fight.

Earlier, Pacquiao expressed his willingness to rematch ‘Money’. However, he accused Mayweather of being scared to death to share the ring one more time with him. Pacquiao had said, “He’s scared. From the beginning he’s felt intimidated [by] me and scared to face me.”

After Pacquiao’s comments, The Sun claimed the rematch between the two to be in progress. Reportedly, it was supposed to be a rematch and not an exhibition match of boxing.
