It’s vacation time for the world’s richest boxer. In characteristic Floyd Mayweather Jr. style, the undefeated former champion kicked off his annual world tour some time ago. He has been sharing photos and video clips of the time spent at the places where he stops over for a brief sojourn. It includes Israel, where he took a break most recently.

From some of the posts that he shared, he appears to have had a good time in the Middle Eastern country. One of the highlights of the pit stop was the decorated ‘kippah’. But there was one more thing that most fans couldn’t have missed. It was a diamond-studded pendant hanging from Mayweather Jr.’s neck. Early today, he let the fans have a close look at the expensive accessory through his Instagram story.

Champion’s Power Play: Floyd Mayweather Jr. Touching the Stars

The slide had a close-up shot of the luxuriously encrusted pendant. Inside, a clear, but contrastingly colored, ‘Star of David’ symbol appeared. At the bottom right, a picture of Floyd Mayweather Jr. donning the ornament was featured. @diamondclubmiami was also tagged. A close perusal of the Instagram handle reveals that the makers of luxury goods and jewelry had made another pendant for Floyd Mayweather Jr. But it was strikingly different from the ‘Star of David’ pendant, both in terms of the design and the fact that it doesn’t seem to have any symbol encapsulated.

Two days ago, exhorting everyone to spread love and hope, Floyd Mayweather Jr. shared that he had reached Israel. He expressed a wish to learn more about the country’s rich culture and history. The first picture showed him standing alongside an acquaintance. Both held the glass-enclosed ‘kippah’, the traditional skull cap worn by orthodox Jewish men. It seems to have been specially made for the former five-division champion, with ‘TMT inscribed on it.

In the second snapshot, he displays the ‘Star of David’ necklace with another friend standing by his side. The holy ‘Temple Mount’ appears in the background of both photographs.

A few other posts featured him receiving honors in Israel. One that he shared yesterday had the message, “Mutual Love and Respect Transcends Boundaries!

In the Ring and Beyond

The former world champion previously let the fans have a glimpse of him enjoying his stay in Iceland. Another set of clips showed him riding a snowmobile on the icy road in Aspen, Colorado.

Active in the exhibition boxing circuit post-retirement, Floyd Mayweather Jr. last fought John Gotti III in June last year. Unfortunately, the event in Florida ended in the most controversial manner. At the beginning of the year, rumors of a rematch with old rival Manny Pacquiao made headway. As of now, any credible information on the former champion’s next fight remains largely vague.
