Floyd Mayweather Sends a Stern Warning to Jake Paul and Tommy Fury Before Their Fight

With just two days left for his own fight against retired mixed martial artist Aaron Chalmers, Floyd Mayweather shared his opinion on the match between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury. Floyd recently hosted the final press conference before his upcoming face-off against Aaron Chalmers. The press conference was held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in London. Floyd shared his insight as the former world champion.

He also mentioned why a potential fight between him and Jake Paul won’t happen. He disclosed that a proper fight against Jake won’t materialize, as the weight difference wouldn’t allow for it. The boxing icon said that he won’t reach the required weight as his body wouldn’t allow that. So the only option is an exhibition fight, which Jake doesn’t want.

In the interview, the reporter asked first jokingly asked about Floyd betting money on fights. He then asked Floyd if he has placed a bet on the fight between Paul and Fury. Floyd replied by complimenting Paul on his social media following and the number of new audiences he has provided to the sport as a whole. He said, “I mean, It’s good that he is able to attain his social media followers. And for this sport of boxing to get some new eyes.” He also said that this fight was a good matchup for the two fighters. He also expressed his desire for seeing the best competitor win. “You know, may the best one win.” 

But Floyd also issued a warning to Jake Paul and Tommy Fury. He spoke about how dangerous the sport of boxing is and how it’s meant to be taken seriously. He said,“ But this sport is something you can’t play with. Boxing is something you can’t play with.”

Both Fury and Paul should heed his advice as it comes from the icon’s years of experience as one of the richest and most successful boxers in the sport. He further hinted at how challenging the fight can be for both fighters. Floyd said, “When you finally face a fighter that really really fights, then we gon’ really find out what you really got in the sport of boxing.”

The legendary boxer has a fight of his own to concentrate on and his opponent is taking matters very seriously.

Aaron Chalmers shares his intent to fight

It seems even Aaron Chalmers is interested in getting in on the action. In a recent interview, he shared that after he was done with his fight against Floyd; he wishes to take on either one of the aforementioned fighters. He sees these two names as big fights and hopes to take them on after his fight against boxing royalty.

Chalmers believes his fight against Mayweather is bigger but is still excited about the Paul-Fury fight. He thinks a loss for either Paul or Fury would damage their reputations due to all the trash-talking that has occurred. Chalmers admits it is tough to decide who would win between Paul and Fury, as Paul has fought better people, but not boxers, while Fury has fought journeymen. The fight against Mayweather is surely a big deal for Chalmers. He even shared his disbelief about the fight taking place.

Whether it is Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury or Floyd Mayweather vs Aaron Chalmers, both fights have fans at the edge of their seats. It will be interesting to see who emerges on top in the end, and what comes next for the fighters after that. But for now, the whole boxing world has its eyes on Jake Paul and Tommy Fury.
