Despite being retired five years ago, Floyd Mayweather has still not stopped putting on a show for his fans. After he knocked out Conor McGregor back in 2017, Mayweather has participated in boxing exhibition fights against MMA fighters or Influencer boxers. Well, now in a few hours, Mayweather would be getting inside the ring against the grandson of the former mob boss, John Gotti III. The fight would be taking place at the FLA Live Arena in Florida and will be broadcasted by The Zeus Network on early Monday morning. The card is jampacked with great fights lined up, from start to finish.

Hopefully, this bout will see an increment in the crowd turnout to Mayweather’s last previous fight against the former MMA fighter, Aaron Chalmers. There was a low turnout for the bout at the O2 Arena, in London. Well, notably, there is considerable hype for Mayweather vs. Gotti III. The latter has claimed that he will prove to be a different fighter than his previous exhibition fights opponents. So, let’s see what’s different.

The PPV King, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather is a 46-year-old fierce fighter who stands tall at 173 centimeters, which amounts to 5 feet and 8 inches. The Grand Rapids native bears a flawless record of 50-0 under his name. Interestingly, out of his 50 wins, 27 of them have been by the result of a KO, which gives him a solid 54% Knockout ratio. So, the orthodox boxer will undoubtedly give a good challenge to his opponent, despite being 16 years older than him.

On the other hand, John Gotti III is a 30-year-old man who is an MMA fighter-turned-boxer, holds a splendid record of 5-1 in his MMA professional career, and 2-0 in his boxing career, and has a 50% knockout ratio. The Rockville Center native stands tall at 180 centimeters, i.e. 5 feet and 11 inches with an orthodox stance.

Floyd Mayweather will be indulging in his seventh exhibition since his retirement. And he’s sure that he’ll put down Gotti III as well;  he’s put out short clips of him training for this bout on the internet. And he’s ready to take on Gotti III as it seemed in the final press conference before the fight. Mayweather said, “I’m on the road of more so giving it than taking it.

For John Gotti III, it will be his third boxing fight and will be looking for that historical win that nobody has been able to achieve against Mayweather thus far.

And in the conference, he clapped back at Mayweather after confusing his surname ‘Gotti’ with that of Arturo Gatti. To that, Gotti III, said, “There’s only one Gotti. You never fought no Gotti“.
