It seems quite a lot was at stake in the Gervonta DavisRyan Garcia match besides boxing. While the boxers placed a wager among themselves, others followed suit and played the ponies. Davis had his heart in the right place when he allowed Garcia to keep his share of the bet after knocking him out in the seventh round. But the former couldn’t help but nudged to step in if a rapper who had put his money on Garcia failed to honor in case he lost the gamble.

Reportedly Canadian rapper Drake won approximately $400k as Gervonta Davis’ body shot forced a stop on the catchweight bout. Then again, there was the news of the unified Welterweight champion Errol Spenc Jr. badgering stablemate Jermall Charlo for some $30k. The latter thought Garcia would have the upper hand. Unfortunately, perhaps unbeknownst about the eventual outcome, Jacksonville, Florida-born rapper YK Osiris also pledged his bills on ‘KingRy.’

But he received a challenge from Chicago. Rapper Lil Reese publicly called Osiris, telling him he would put his money on ‘Tank Davis. Then, on March 11, he tweeted, “Somebody [tells] [YK Osiris] I got @Gervontaa for whatever he tryna bet….” Soon he received a backing straight from the top. Gervonta Davis added, “And I’m knocking him out if he [doesn’t] pay..

Lil Reese opened up about the affair while talking on ‘Cam Capone News’ a few days ago. The reporter asked him whether he had a bet with YK Osiris. Reese said that it wasn’t so and that Osiris got frightened and wanted to back out. So the reporter asked whether the latter pulled out because Davis jumped in and mentioned knocking him out if Reese didn’t receive the money. The Chicago-born rapper replied, “Yeah yeah, folks was gonna knock his ass out. How you did on Ryan Garcia on the phono?

When the reported asked Reese whether ‘Tank’ Davis’ intrusion baffled him, the rapper said, “No, hell no. up with Gervonta though like Bro cool as hell, yeah Bro a real n***er  though bro bro bro thorough as hell.” Then the discussion moved over to whether Reese was a boxing fan, to which the latter responded that he was. However, he preferred it over UFC as he didn’t like “all that kicking and all that sh*t.
